Congratulations to Dr. Harvey and Dr. Griesinger!
They have received at least $100,000 per year from Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to support their project “Statistical Analyses of Radiological Data” starting Spring 2020.
Nuclear physicist, Mark Harvey, of the TSU Department of Physics and statistician Nancy L. Glenn Griesinger, a methodologist in the TSU Department of Mathematics have formed a collaboration to apply advanced statistical analysis methodologies to radiological data for the Radioactive Materials Division of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). In particular, spatial statistical methods are employed to analyze the measured radiological data. Subsequently, the research results are reported to the appropriate TCEQ personnel. Additionally, Drs. Harvey and Glenn Griesinger have also collectively mentored an undergraduate student in this research as well.
