Summer Undergraduate REsearch in Data Science (SURE-DS 2024)

The Center for Scientific Machine Learning for Material Science (CSML-MS) invites undergraduates who are interested in data science to apply for the Summer Undergraduate REsearch program in Data Science (SURE-DS) this summer. The program starts May 20, 2024, ends June 28, 2024 and will be held virtually.

The selected students will be learning Python and machine learning, exploring, and analyzing data from various domains including physics, medical, and material sciences. Students will be given opportunities to present the result of their research.

The total stipend for each student is $3,000 upon completion of all assignments.

Requirements for applicants

1. GPA 3.0 or above
2. At least finish one semester of Calculus
3. Knowledge of elementary statistics
4. Knowledge in at least one programming language.
